The kickoff event for the BIO Steel Next Gen Series season takes place in Nashville, Tennessee at the Predators operated Ford Ice Center facilities in Antioch and Bellevue. Games start on Thursday morning and finish on Sunday afternoon. Nashville may very well be the best city in America. It has it all; world famous BBQ (we suggest Martin’s and the Peg Leg Porker) and restaurant scene, live music, team outings at Top Golf and the southern hospitality that the city offers visitors.
Past Champions: 2005 Toronto Pro Hockey (2016), 2006-2007 Team Pacific (2017 and 2018), 2008 Toronto Pro Hockey (2019), 2009 IL Selects(2020) & 2010 Junior Bruins & 2009 Method Hockey (2021).
2011 Division
It’s off to the Low Country in South Carolina! Travel & Leisure named Charleston as the #1 city in the US, and we know why: cobblestone walkways, historical sites, world class restaurants, top rated golf courses and resorts, nearby beaches and more. Walk down King or Meeting St., head to Rainbow Row or just about anywhere else on the peninsula to take in the charm of The Holy City.
Games are played at the two sheet, Carolina Ice Palace just 20 minutes from downtown.
The Bauer Spring Shootout is the opening event for both the ‘15’s and 16’s this season as the BIO Steel Next gen Series moves to beautiful Toronto, Ontario. The tournament is hosted by Pro Hockey Development. This storied tournament always draws a top field of teams. Other ages offered (18U through 2017’s) as well at this event.
The Boston Showdown is an elite, AAA level spring hockey tournament hosted by the Junior Bruins over Memorial Day Weekend at the New England Sports Center (NESC) in Marlboro, MA. The Junior Bruins host the second stop for the BIO Steel Next Gen Series for the 15’s and 16’s. The Boston Showdown is the top Boston based Elite, AAA spring/summer youth tournament. Other ages offered (2012-2017) as well at this event.
The BIO Steel Next Gen Series moves to Chicago as The Battle for the Windy City has the 2015’s and 2016’s playing in their final stop for before the championship events in Las Vegas and Vancouver, respectively. Illinois Selects host the tournament at the Arctic Ice Arena. The rink and tournament hotels are a short drive from downtown Chicago and all that this world class city has to offer. Go see a Cubs game at Wrigley, hit the Magnificent Mile, spend time at the Navy Pier, head to the Willis/Sears Tower SkyDeck, Hancock Building/Water Tower, Millennium Park, Riverwalk or visit some of the best restaurants in the world. We suggest a steak at Gibson’s.
